The Story Behind DBP
About DBP Texas Epoxy
Hi, I'm Devin, owner of DBP Texas Epoxy and Mom of five.

I built DBP from the ground up with a purpose much bigger than simply owning a business. I wanted to create something of my own, provide for my children, and show them through my own actions what it looks like to work hard for something you believe in.
​
As a Mom, my children are the heart of why I work so hard. My youngest daughter has a medical condition that requires frequent doctor apointments and extra care. Owning my own business gives me the ability to build a career while also creating a schedule that allows me to be there for her when she needs me. That freedom and flexibility are a huge part of why DBP means so much to me.
​
Growing up, hard work was simply part of life. My brothers and I worked hard for our parents from the time we were young. We learned how to show up, work, and keep going even when we were tired or things weren't easy. Those experiences shaped so much of the person I am today.
​
Building a business has tested me in ways I never expected. There have been long days, difficult seasons, mistakes, setbacks, and plenty of moments when I've questioned whether I was doing enough. Starting with very little and trying to build something successful from the ground up is hard.
​
But my children are watching me.
​
I want them to see that success doesn't always happen overnight. I want them to see a Mom who was willing to learn, work hard, fall down, get back up, and continue building something she believed in. And never give up!

The Meaning Behind DBP
The letters DBP are the initials of my big brother, Dusty, who passed away.
Dusty was an incredibly hard worker, but more importantly, he was genuinely a great person. He was the kind of person whose presence mattered, and being his little sister was a huge part of my life, and a huge honor.
We grew up working hard together. Those memoreies, the things we learned growing up, and the person Dusty was will always be a part of me.

When I decided to build my business, naming it after him felt right.
​
Every time I see DBP on my logo, my shirts, or a completed floor, I don't simply see the name of a company. I think about where I came from, how hard we worked growing up, and the kind of person that he was, and continuing to make him proud.

DBP is my way of building something for my children's futures while carrying a piece of my brother with me.
